What is the basic design of a saree ?

A Saree is essentially a drape which is usually two to nine yards long. However, the entire outfit, along with the blouse and the petticoat, is widely referred to as a Saree. The Sari is wrapped around a petticoat which is fastened at the waist, and worn with a blouse which is cropped above the waist, leaving the midriff bare.

How to wear a saree ?

In the Indian culture, there are more than 80 recorded ways of wearing a Saree. However, the general way to drape a Saree is to wrap it around the waist and let the loose end over one shoulder or around both the shoulders.
